This debate offers a platform to connect directly with the candidates and address the specific concerns of the Cheney and Greater Spokane communities. We aim to foster a rigorous yet respectful environment where candidates can distinguish their platforms through substantive policy discussion.

Following the 47% youth turnout in 2024, it is clear that students and local voters in the 5th District are more engaged than ever, hence the stakes for the 2026 election cycle are incredibly high. Light refreshments will be provided.

The debate will be held in the Walter and Myrtle Powers Reading Room (Hargreaves Reading Room) at Eastern Washington University.
